Terms
Trade account terms
Plain-English terms for ScopeBeam trade accounts, customer request links, paid plans, refunds, and the limits of what the software does.
These are trade account terms. By creating a trade account you confirm you are using ScopeBeam for your trade or business, not as a consumer buying for personal use.
ScopeBeam is software only. It helps you collect job briefs and support your own quoting workflow. We do not vet, inspect, supervise, endorse, or guarantee any trade, customer, user, quote, job, payment, or outcome.
You stay responsible for the work. You must do your own checks, pricing, site visits, contracts, permits, insurance, qualifications, tax, safety duties, and legal compliance. Any request, estimate, suggestion, or template in the app is informational only and must be checked before you rely on it.
We are not part of your customer contract. We do not act as an agent, broker, insurer, lead marketplace, payment collector for your jobs, or party to any contract between you and your customer. Customers use a direct request link from the trade business they already chose.
Use the service fairly. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, misleading, confidential, or rights-infringing content. You must have permission to upload customer details, photos, and job information, and you are responsible for what your account users do.
Access can change. We aim to keep ScopeBeam useful and available, but we may change features, fix errors, refuse unsafe content, suspend accounts, or remove access if the service is used unlawfully, abusively, or in a way that risks ScopeBeam or other users.
No-fuss refund: if a paid ScopeBeam plan is not useful, ask within 14 days of your first paid checkout or a renewal and we will cancel the Stripe subscription and refund that latest ScopeBeam subscription payment minus any Stripe or payment-processing costs that are not returned to us, unless the law requires a full refund or the account has been used unlawfully or abusively. After that window, paid periods are not normally refunded, but you can cancel future billing. This does not remove any rights the law says you must keep.
Liability is limited. This cap is there so a small software subscription does not create open-ended business risk. We do not exclude liability where the law does not allow that, including fraud or death/personal injury caused by negligence. For other claims about ScopeBeam itself, ScopeBeam is not responsible for lost profit, lost business, lost data, lost goodwill, indirect loss, or job/customer disputes. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid ScopeBeam in the three months before the claim, or £100 if higher.
Using ScopeBeam outside England and Wales. These terms use England and Wales law as the default because ScopeBeam is run through an England and Wales company. You are responsible for local laws that apply where you operate or use ScopeBeam. Nothing in these terms removes any mandatory local rights, local court rights, or rules that the law says cannot be excluded.
Terms may be updated. The version you accept is recorded with your signup. If we make important changes, we will make the latest terms available on this page and may ask you to accept them again.
Questions and refunds. Signed-in trade accounts can request eligible no-fuss refunds from the latest paid billing transaction. Use the contact form for account questions, cancellation help, or to ask for a copy of these terms.

Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. For business users, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory law says another local right or court must still be available.
